The only time you should hit a woman is if you life is in danger. I seriously doubt at the time Chris Brown assaulted Rihanna and lets just be real that is what is was an assault, he believe that his life was in danger.

Men who beat on women are weak. They have there own insecurities about their masculinity and they take that out on women.

I am on record saying that even if it was his first offense or he was provoked that Chris Brown should have went to jail. His actions were much worse than say Plaxico Burress or Michael Vick who both have or are currently spending a lot of time in prison.

A lot of women being abused are afraid to report it for various reasons which is why I hoped that Rihanna from the beginning would come out and talk about this.

But in typical fashion, she waited and waited and waited until it was time for her CD was about to come out.

Let me be clear I am not saying what she is saying in the interview isn’t true. What I am saying is the timing makes me less likely to believe this is about “setting the record straight and helping battered women” as oppose to “gaining sympathy from my fans so i can sell more records than Chris Brown”.

Truth probably somewhere in the middle, but sometimes you have to understand that for people to take you seriously you have to act less like a “star” and more like a “person”.

I understand why she is doing it and I am not judging her. What I am saying to people is don’t be naive to the reasons why she is doing it.
